In association with the other two IEC Chapters in our State; Bid Bend in Tallahassee and Fl. West Coast Chapter in Tampa; we maintain a full time lobbyist who works specifically on legislative issues that are important to our industry. In 2016 we were able to get legislation passed that forever protects the State Licensed EC and SC right to act in the capacity of a prime contractor.  Before this legislation was signed into law; this right was questionable due to some unintentional gray area in the original statute.
